I believe that we are a large enough community to support the system and that it will not end (at least for now). If it is the case that the original author abandons it, the community could follow

The original developer has already dropped the project completely, no update for years . Up to promise and put off nothing came. No response to contact attempts , not to mention there is a possibility of releasing the source code for the SimAcars.

Just look when the developer was last in the forum.  Developer Account VAM Last Active:September 18, 2019, 08:56:15 PM

Unfortunately, some have tried in vain to make contact or to develop the project further. However, without the SimAcars source code you can not change or adjust anything in this regard. The whole system is based on the own Acars.

Again the developer has made clear that the source code will not be released.

Therefore, it is not a question of money or how big a community is, but how willing the developer is to make the project completely public including the source codes.

However, this will not happen.

When I looked to the simacars.net page it is expired on 06 may 2021...and www.virtualairlinesmanager.net expires on 21 june 2021 on 19:12:06 UTC.
It is a very sad thing to see one of the best virtual airlines manager software websites with an active community dissapear. Is it possible to save the forum and put it on a site/webhosting
where the community can continue existing ?

For this you would have to get in contact with the developer, but that is currently impossible. He is inactive and as it seems not reachable, or does not want to be reachable.
He continues to post happily on Twitter.
Probably the only possibility is to create a replacement forum before expiration and refer to it here, but currently important information about modifications will disappear with this forum.
Unless someone does the work and searches the whole thing together and transfers this data.

I have tried to get in contact with Alejandro, but facebook is not existing anymore, with twitter I can not send messages and google plus does not exist anymore. So I send him a mail to his to me known mail address. that I could find on this site...I think this site should continue to exist...so let's see how far we can come. If someone has another mail address from Alejandro available, let me know, then I will send him also there a mail.

"I've been away from aerial simulation for about 3 years. I already have free time. The first thing is to change PC , the current one is already a few years old. On the other hand I want to keep moving forward all improving SIMACARS and VA manager."

There seems to be hope?

I'm sorry, but I am not going to change my system again so that the creator will leave us in the lurch again unless it becomes opensource.

That we depend on a single person for an entire airline with its pilots or on several airlines ...

He hasn't been through the forum in years, but now he's giving information on twitter. That announcement should have been made here, and clarify if we are going to have to depend on it or is it going to be opensource.
