Costs linked to aicraft size
« on: April 20, 2018, 10:10:09 AM »
Hello,

To improve the financial module, I propose you to have an new link option in the financial manager : linked to aicraft size.

Because on airport, costs are higher for big airplanes (airport taxes, ground services...), and costs are less important for smaller GA aicrafts.

So it could be interesting to set some costs linked to the aircraft size (we could take the ZFW, or MTOW...)

What about that idea ?

In the same way, when an aicraft need maintenance and repair (=costs), it could be interesting to link the costs with the size of the aicraft.

Because the "Cost for repair an aircraft after carsh" isn't the same for a duke B60 vs an Airbus or Boeing liner.

Then, the costs linked to the aicraft (in financial manager or in VA parameters for maintenance) size could be renamed as :

Aircraft costs for 1t of MTOW

It's just an exemple, and it works perfectly in my old VA : huge hubs with big airplanes have higher costs because the fleet is more heavy (more MTOW or ZFW). With that system financials are more realistic for a hub manager or a financial chief.
