New user of VAM
« on: May 21, 2015, 10:17:13 PM »
Hello dear members,

I'm a new user of the VAM System and do really like it so far.
But I have noticed an issue or it could just be me.

If I try to change my country in the profile nothing happens and I remain a citizen of Spain lol.
I don't receive any error, and the only thing I see while changing my profile is that the page jumps up.
I do have my VA some years now but want to try a solid management system.

Before I used phpvms and was really happy with it, but after so many error's and crashes I'm done with it.
So I hope someone can help me out here, and I'm looking forward to a great friendship.

Regards

Hi,

in the screen where the user chnages his/her profile there is an issue, the two dropdowns when you enter in that screen don't display the pilots value, for example for country it will display Afganistan. The trick is to set up again the values for the dropdowns and also write again yor password or chnage it.
The issue for the dropdown is solved, but not released, it will be part of VAM 2.3 planned for the 1st week of june.

By the way, how did you know about VAM? this is just for my curiosity

I had A lot of issues with phpvms the last 2 months, and lost all of my pilots.
So I decided to start all over again and I searched on the internet for another Virtual airline manager.
That's where VAM shows up, and I'm very happy with it so far.

Thanks by the way for this great piece of work.

Yes I heard that phpvms had many issues, also as far as I see it is more complex to mantain or modify, when I was developing VAM I focused on simplicity, to allow people with no hight skills in php & html to setup and modify VAM.

That's right. The main issue with phpvms is that they stopped with upgrading many modules. All works great on php 5.2 but in the meantime the php platform is upgrading to 5.6 and that's were it all goes wrong. Almost all modules are developed for 5.2 and on higher level they give many errors and almost impossible to use.
