I second this.  I hope you do amazing on your exams and get that Government job but do consider the acars source code.  Clearly there are people that love your creation :D  Almost one year ago you were looking to release another version so why not send that one out for those who want to test and debug it.

That being said,

Yes studies are important, and things for the systems thus far. Is there any way we can perhaps get access to the sim acars source code to debug some issues? Maybe even help with further dev work?

Reason I ask is we have similar setup than another VA and they have not gotten one single error with their acars but I cannot get the events table to write.

Well, there is always phpvms and you can spend a fortune getting everything you'd like together.  Then phpvms7 where you can melt your brain catching up with all the stuff that isn't complete yet.

Vafinancials (VAFS) which hasn't been updated in a very long time yet the forums still seems to be active mostly with repairs. Yearly pay for you do not have access to any of the DB but can edit most of the pages to your liking.  Really simple setup but mainly no features.  Comes with its custom acars. If you just have a group that flies to enjoy and racks up hours it may be a viable option. May not fit your needs but worth looking into.  The dev is active in the forums and has plans for future.  No real airline names allowed tho.

Those are the ones I've messed with.  Hopefully someone else has experience elsewhere.

I hate to see this go down, I'll asked Alejandro for the source of the Acars system so I could work on it, but sorry after 2 months still no responds at all.

Thanks for the useless post tid bit.  Mine was made over a year ago so this wasn't helpful.  But I see we are still all in the same boat.  At least he should just released everything now and let it be a community based project.

Well, this is good news.  Thanks for the update.  I agree with releasing as opensource if you plan on being absent at least the community can tweak, improve fix or whatever needs to be done.  I look forward to this aspect and I do hope your schedule clears up.  Good luck and Merry Christmas.

Sjohnny777 is who told me they were working on a new version. He isn’t in a position to release info although I did as for him to inquire with the dev team. I would imagine other people aside from sjohny777 would be on the forums also that are involved with the dev.

A lot of VMS are under new dev and no one but phpvms posts updates. But they are faaaaaaaaaaaar from ever having a release.

It's a myth.  Word has it there is a super secret new version in development.  But, I don't believe it until I see at least a list of possible changes or updates or upgrades or anything.  :/

Thanks Keith.  I didn’t want to edit any code in there. I think I’m just going to switch platforms. I’ve been hoping to get some sort of info from the current dev team on ANYTHING for the next VAM release but I just can’t sit here and wait any longer for hopes of a new version. If/when it ever becomes a reality I’ll check back.

Again I understand volunteer and such but perhaps a few screenshots of what’s in the works and maybe throw us a light toward the end of the tunnel here. We looking at a month? 6 months? Two years?

Yes all configured

Sjohnny777, maybe you could query your dev team and put something out in forum on what new features are in the works. Perhaps an anticipated release? 2018? 19?
